boring stuff

some dude told me just now that what he reads in my blog is extremly boring. And I have to agree. Nothing hilarious happened in my life in the last few months, the only thing I can keep on writing about Australians is that they are burping a lot and otherwise I don't know if I should be frustated that nothing exciting happens in my life or not. I just live. It's hard to keep friends at home updated if you just live.
Well, anyway, I went to Cape Tribulation the other day and I saw Crocs and Snakes in wildlife. but animals don't excite me too much either.
I will put more pics on now....
G'day, folks......

one week

The drive to Cairns was fun, spend the night at Brony's house, went for gossip and coffee to Julia's in the morning, then picked up Do and we went straight up to Cape Tribulation. We had a great time. Met Spooner-Spoony, an English electrician, who took us to Cooktown in his 4-wheel-drive. You can only get there in a 4 wheel drive, so it was a great opportunity and good company, too. We spent one night in Cooktown, and it was mindblowing, I felt like in a goast town, and when we went into the pub in the evening, we really knew that we were in the Outback. We were out back, ganz weit draussen, hinten.... :-) The town was much more populated 1850 or so when people came there to look for gold. So really it is like a Wild West Ghost town. Except it's in the East... :-)
We were also lucky to see some tribal performances of people from Papa New Guinea, and also the Solomon Islands. Papa New Guineans were scary, Solomon Islander were very happy.
Back in Cape Tribulation we went on a boat the next day to spot crocodiles. Scary animals. With a brain as big as a hazelnut.
In the afternoon we went on a Tropical Organic Farm, to do some Fruit Tasting, amazing! My favoured was the Pommelo, something like a giant grapefruit, it actually is the ancestor of the orange, grapefruit, manderine. And the chocolate pudding fruit. The consistancy is exactly that of chocolate pudding, the taste not as sweet.
Next day we went horseback riding on the beach. It was great, but we could have been galloping a little more in my opinion.... but it was fun.
Yesterday we went to Mossman Gorge, made a walk through the rainforest in the rain in the afternoon, it was cold, but we went for a swim in the river/gorge anyway, so refreshing.
Got back to Cairns today, visited Christine on Ulysses, and will meet up with her tonight again. Left the light on in my car this afternoon. Will need a jumpstart tonight. Couldn't go to my yoga class because of that :-(
