Time's flying............

.........or have I already had a posting with the same title? - Possible!
After leaving Nimbin, we went back to Coffs Harbour for only one night, to meet Bron and Em again and to see Machine Gun Fellatio there. The band's name doesn't quite discripe their show, though it comes close, several people on stage get naked to present some songs, and they are really good fun and we had a great time!
Next day, after a late breakfast, Stef and I went back to Byron, we were trying to get tickets for one night blues and roots festival - too expensive, then we were trying to catch some songs next to the fence - which was frustating because it would just have been too good to be inside (G Love was on stage - torture!!!), then we thought we just do it like anyone else around - jump over two fences and one barbwire fence and sneak in. This attempt was rudely and very quickly (one food up the fence - each!) anticipated by some security guard :-) We decided we haven't really deserved Jack Johnson for free, at least not that day, and went for a late night swim intstead.
We met two German guys at the blues and roots fence, two other failed fence hoppers, and got along with them very well, and decided to go for a three day trip on Fraser Island together, before going up to Cairns and look for a job. (I called my dear mum and she said yes :-) )
I put some photos of Fraser Isand, the Jeep and Jens and Mathias on, too. Fraser Island was amazing. Even thought there are so many tourists there every day, it sometimes felt like we were the only people on this sand island (it's the biggest sand island in the world!) and we also managed to find deserted camp spots every night.
Driving the Jeep on sand roads though the jungle was so much fun, we all had sore arms after that! Somtimes I felt like in a computer game, stiring that car through the trees, or at least how imagine a computer game to be like, because I never play them... :-) We went up about 50 miles the 75 mile beach, which stretches straight up from south to north. We had one day of terrible rain, but it wasn't too bad. We cooked dinner in the back of the jeep and after about five hours even Jens gave up to put on a campfire...
We saw lizards and and we saw and survived the dingoes. We had a great time!
